Telephoto Lens Comparison - May 10, 2014 |
It was another clear sunny day this morning so I decided to do another quick test, this time of my long Canon prime lenses; EF300 f2.8 LIS, EF400 f5.6 L, EF500 f4.0 LIS, and FD500 f4.5L with FD/EOS adapter (adds 1.23x).
This time I used my Canon 60D with my usual settings for landscape photos; AV mode, F8, Auto ISO, and Partial Metering Mode.
Since this was a "quick" test, I took the shot out the open window of the master bedroom and handheld the camera. I picked four stationary objects and took a series of shots with each lens.
Here are the results (no Photoshopping).
